A strange little girl
And so painfully shy
Awkward and ugly
She knew life as a lie
Thinking one day
Whomever shall I be
When once I am grown
Then, am I still me
She outgrew herself
And found her a place
Giving only her best
While running life's race
Those years all passed
The race never won
Her best tossed aside
Nonetheless, it's done
A strange little lady
And so painfully shy
Awkward and ugly
She found life as a lie
