Rose

 

Such unspoken beauty

 

Captured in a rose

 

Symbolic of love

 

Timeless, it flows

 

Plucked from the stem

 

It's purpose does die

 

Bereft intentions

 

And sorrow's belie

Hollow Heart

 

The imprint you left

 

An invisible touch

 

Your soul echoed mine

 

I loved you so much

 

We were as one

 

Our lives intertwined

 

This part of myself

 

Has left me behind

 

I don't dare mourn

 

So deep is my pain

 

Shedding one tear

 

Will cause it to rain

 

My now hollow heart

 

Craves all you were

 

What's left of me

 

It's merely a blur

 

You can't return

 

I can't come to you

 

That sense of "us"

 

Is all my heart knew

 

I seek out the stars

 

I barter with fate

 

For our reunion

 

I desperately wait
